- Visit AL Fateh Grand Mosque: Bahrain’s largest place of worship and one of the largest mosques in the world. The mosque accommodates up to 7000 worshippers and is crowned with the largest fiberglass dome in the world. The walls of the mosque are beautifully ornamented with Kufic calligraphy. - Visit Bahrain National Museum: The crowning achievement of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to preserve the nation’s heritage and history. The museum houses 9 main halls and classifies the accumulated heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain into 6 different sections. Visitors to the museum will be taken on a 4,000 year journey through time as they pass through its halls, from the traditional handicraft’s hall to the customs and traditions hall, burial mounds hall, ancient documents and manuscripts hall, Tylos hall, and Islamic period hall.

Before the introduction of cars to the country, camels were the primary means of transport for the people of Bahrain, as they are ideal to travel distances in the humid and dry climate. Have your cameras ready to catch some memorable moments with The Ship of the Desert.

The Bu Maher Fort visitor centre can be accessed via the sea aboard boats which depart from Bahrain National Museum harbour. (8-minute boat ride).

- Visit Bab Al Bahrain Manama Souq - including the area of spices. A historical building marking the main entrance to the Manama Souq. Shopping experience where ancient traditions meet modern lifestyle.

- Old Houses of Muharraq: Muharraq was the former capital of Bahrain and is known for its cultural contributions through the many restored traditional Bahraini houses that can be found amidst the narrow lanes and byways.

- Muharraq Souq: Souq al Qaisariya is one of the oldest sections of the Muharraq Souq and offers a charming shopping experience. Souq al Qaisariya is an integral component of the “Pearling, Testimony of an Island” project. The project consists of seventeen buildings in Muharraq City, three offshore oyster beds, part of the seashore and the Qal’at Bu Mahir fortress.

- Bahrain Fort: A 16th-century fort built by the Portuguese. The area where the fort is located is known as Qalat Al Bahrain with lots of hidden history from the Dilmun Civilization.

- A’Ali Pottery: You can watch the potters at work at the A’ali Pottery Workshop with methods using ancient kilns, a tradition that has been handed down to generation after generation.
